North SLO County Concerts
LCA was formed in 1948 as Lompoc Community Concert Association through the efforts of a group of dedicated visionary volunteers who wanted to bring the experience of live performance to Lompoc audiences. Thus began a long association with Columbia Artist Management’s subsidiary known as Community Concerts LLC, formed to facilitate bringing first class entertainers to small communities such as Lompoc.

In the early 1990's Community Concerts LLC ceased operation, and Lompoc Community Concert Association became Lompoc Concert Association, a non-profit 501C(3) corporation. At the same time we became affiliated with Live On Stage, an artist management company based in Nashville, TN. LOS provides an annual list of up-and-coming and world-class artists from which to choose. From that list our board of directors, which numbers close to 50, selects four concert series that we hope will appeal to Lompoc audiences. We also deal with independent artist managers on occasion.

Over the years, we have been privileged to present to Lompoc audiences such diverse artists as Mildred Dilling, the Vienna Boys Choir, Christopher Parkening, Marvalee Cariaga, the New Christy Minstrels, the Romeros, Stecher and Horowitz, Chanticleer, John Gary, the Crescent City Jazz Band, the Moscow Chamber Orchestra and Orange Kellin and the New Orleans Blue Serenaders. Last Season we hosted the Artie Shaw Orchestra featuring Dick Johnson.

From 1956-1996 our concerts were held in the Lompoc Theatre, which will in the near future be reborn as the Calvert Center for the Performing Arts. Since 1996, our concerts have been held in local churches; the First United Methodist church is graciously allowing us to use their sanctuary for our 2007-2008 concert season.
