Los Cenzontles
Los Cenzontles (Nahuatl for “The Mockingbirds”) pioneered revivals of Mexican roots music cultivating traditional rhythms and a vibrant, contemporary sound to connect generations. Interpreting traditional, classic, and original songs in their own voices, the band has produced twenty albums and has collaborated with multiple artists including The Chieftains, Los Lobos, Los Tigres del Norte, Linda Ronstadt, Ry Cooder, David Hidalgo and Taj Mahal.


Shelby Means

Shelby Means, one of the foremost bassists in bluegrass, has a singular stage presence, and a magnetic, centered approach to the upright bass. She is also an accomplished songwriter and a heartfelt vocalist whose voice is rooted in tradition while authentically her own. She was a member of the all-women bluegrass band Della Mae and later earned her first GRAMMY® with the Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway. She has performed at the Grand Ole Opry, Bonnaroo, Telluride Bluegrass Festival, and Newport Folk. She will be joined in concert by mandolin, guitar and fiddle.
The Belrose Duo

Cellist David Garrett and pianist Junko Ueno Garrett are The Belrose Duo. David has been part of L.A. Philharmonic since 2000 after tenures with the orchestras of Houston, San Antonio, Shreveport, New Orleans and Grand Rapids. Junko Ueno Garrett trained at the prestigious Toho Gakuen School of Music in Tokyo and is currently a faculty member at Occidental College. They have a wide-ranging repertoire from classical to contemporary with a fondness for the Romantic.

Bending genres and uplifting spirits, The Moanin’ Frogs offer an electrifying approach to chamber music. Conservatory trained and entertainment minded, their dynamic and technically precise performances of classical, ragtime, jazz, and pop delight fans across the world. Featuring all six saxophones from soprano to bass, The Moanin’ Frogs delighted our Lompoc audience a few years ago with one attendee saying, “One of the best I have seen”.

Regional Concert Association Reciprocity Opportunity
One of the distinct added value features of Community Concerts is a privilege called reciprocity. This means that, as a subscriber to the Lompoc Concert Association, you may attend the concerts of other participating associations free of charge.
Offering reciprocity is a courtesy extended by each association and is based on seating availability. Visitors may be asked to present the top section of the tear off season ticket strip at the door, or show their season ticket print out if purchased online, and wait until local subscribers are seated. If interested, please check the websites below for concert performances and other specifics. Then contact the venue representative to request attendance as a guest.
